Texting Number
Your local texting number for reminders, confirmations and the AI chatbot
Your texting number is the number PestBooker texts your customers from — appointment confirmations, abandoned-cart reminders and AI chatbot replies all come from it, and customer replies land in Conversations. A local number is included with Pro: it is picked from your service area when your trial starts, and you can see it (or get one) in Settings → Messages.
Requirements
- Pro (or Enterprise) plan
- Admin role
Get your number
- Go to Dashboard → Settings → Messages. The "Texting number" card at the top shows your number, or a "Get my number" button if you don't have one yet.
- We pick a number local to your service area (or your company phone's area code). It usually takes under a minute.
- Tip
Set your service area or company address first — that is how we know where "local" is.
Try it and, if you like, swap it
- "Text me a test message" sends a short text to your company phone so you can see what customers will see. Up to three a day, between 8am and 8pm.
- Not a fan of the number? "Pick a different number" swaps it once, within the first week, as long as it hasn't texted a customer yet.
- Once the number has texted a customer it stays with you — their replies and STOP requests depend on it.
Enterprise: numbers are set per office
- For Enterprise accounts, SMS numbers are configured per office rather than one number for the whole organization
- The Settings → Profile page shows a note pointing you to the Enterprise section to manage this
- See "Enterprise & Multi-Office Setup" for where office-level settings like this live
What the number powers
- SMS
Abandoned-cart reminders text customers who started but did not finish booking.
- SMS
If the AI chatbot is enabled, it answers inbound texts on this number (see "AI Chatbot").
- IMPORTANT: Each tenant (or office) uses its own dedicated number — texts always come from the number tied to your business.
Pro Tips
- • SMS is Pro+; your number appears (read-only) in Settings → Profile in E.164 format.
- • Support provisions and changes the number — there is no self-serve "buy a number" button.
- • The same number powers both abandoned-cart reminders and the AI chatbot.
- • Enterprise accounts manage SMS numbers per office instead of a single org-wide number.
