Configuring Services & Pricing
Set up plans, pricing, and pest offerings for your booking page
PestBooker lets you configure the service plans customers choose from when booking, organized by property type (Residential, Commercial, Apartment), plus which pest problems you treat. You control pricing, cadence, contract terms, and — for size-based pricing — how price scales with a home's square footage. This takes about 15-20 minutes to configure properly.
Requirements
- Admin access to your PestBooker organization
- Pricing strategy for each plan (initial charge and recurring price)
- Knowledge of which pest problems you can treat
- Field Routes Service IDs (if using the Field Routes integration)
1
Configure Service Offerings (Pest Types)
- Go to Dashboard → Services → Offerings in your PestBooker dashboard
- Toggle which pest problems you can treat, including extras such as bed bugs, ticks, silverfish, and earwigs
- These selections apply globally across all plans and property types - they tell customers what pests you treat
- Each pest also has an 'Add-on' selector for attaching a warranty; configure the warranties themselves on the Add-ons tab
- Click 'Save Changes' after making your selections
- Customers will see these pest types listed on your booking page
2
Understand Plans and Property Categories
- Plans are grouped into three property-category rows: Residential, Commercial, and Apartment
- Each row can hold as many plans as you need (a typical setup is Quarterly / Bi-Monthly / Monthly)
- You can also add unlimited Custom Services below the category rows for anything that does not fit the standard rows
- Commercial and Apartment plans start out mirroring your Residential pricing (shown with an 'Inherited from Residential' banner) until you edit them to set that category's own numbers
- All active plans are displayed to customers on your booking page, organized by their property category
3
Set Pricing for Each Plan
- Click the edit icon (pencil) on a plan to configure it
- Set the 'Initial Charge' - the one-time setup or first visit fee (minimum $1)
- Optionally set a 'Regular Price' - a higher, strike-through anchor price shown at checkout to highlight savings (never actually charged)
- Set the 'Recurring Price' and its cadence - per service, per month, per quarter, or per year
- Configure 'Treatments Per Year' for informational display to customers
- Price competitively while accounting for your costs and desired margin
- Click 'Save' after setting pricing for the plan
4
Optional: Dynamic Pricing by Square Footage
- On any plan, you can enable size-based pricing instead of a flat rate
- Set a base square footage (what your base price covers) and a base monthly price
- Set an additional square-footage increment and the price charged per extra increment
- A live preview table shows sample prices at common home sizes so you can sanity-check the curve before saving
- If a customer's home size is unknown, PestBooker falls back to your flat Initial Charge and Recurring Price
5
Configure Contract & Scheduling Details
- 'First Recurring Service' controls when the customer's next visit after the initial one is scheduled - use the Field Routes default, or a fixed 30/60/90 days out
- 'Contract Length' sets the service agreement term (12, 18, or 24 months); this is hidden for one-time services
- These settings live in the same edit panel as pricing, per plan
6
Map to Field Routes Services (Required for Sync)
- While editing a plan, scroll to the 'PestRoutes Integration' section
- Select your 'PestRoutes Service ID' from the dropdown (loads from your Field Routes account)
- This mapping is REQUIRED to activate a plan - bookings won't sync without it
- Optionally set an 'Initial Service Type' to override which Field Routes service the first visit uses
- If you don't see services in the dropdown, verify your Field Routes credentials in Settings → Integration
7
Activate Plans
- Toggle the 'Active' switch to make a plan available on your booking page
- You cannot activate a plan without configuring its PestRoutes Service ID, and pricing must be at least $1
- All active plans are displayed to customers, grouped by property category
- Inactive plans are hidden from customers but remain configured in your dashboard
- Test your booking page after activating plans to verify they display correctly
Pro Tips
- • Start with 2-3 active Residential plans - you can always activate more, or add Commercial/Apartment pricing, later
- • Price your entry-level plan to be competitive and attractive for new customers
- • Consider bundling more treatments per year in higher plans at a discount per treatment
- • Double-check your PestRoutes Service ID mappings before going live to avoid sync issues
- • If a plan shows a warning like 'Not configured', you need to set the PestRoutes Service ID
- • If you have multiple offices under Enterprise, each office can override pricing independently while sharing the same plan names and Field Routes mappings - see "Enterprise & Multi-Office Setup"
- • Visit your booking page after configuring to see exactly what customers will see
