Configuring Service Tiers
Set up pricing and pest offerings for your service plans
PestBooker lets you configure custom service tiers that customers can choose from when booking. You define the pricing, name, and description for each tier, and specify which pest problems you treat. All active service tiers are displayed to customers on your booking page. This takes about 10-15 minutes to configure properly.
Requirements
- Admin or Manager access to your PestBooker organization
- Pricing strategy for each service tier (initial charge and recurring service charge)
- Knowledge of which pest problems you can treat
- Field Routes Service IDs (if using Field Routes integration)
1
Configure Service Offerings (Pest Types)
- Go to Dashboard → Services in your PestBooker dashboard
- At the top, you'll see the 'Service Offerings' section with pest type checkboxes
- Select which pest problems you can treat: Ants, Fleas, Roaches, Wasps, Spiders, Rodents
- These selections apply to all service tiers - they tell customers what pests you treat
- Click 'Save Offerings' after making your selections
- Customers will see these pest types listed on your booking page
2
Understand Service Tiers
- Service tiers are fully configurable - you can create as many as you need
- Each tier has a customizable name, description, and icon
- Configure treatments per year for each tier (e.g., 4x/year, 6x/year, 12x/year)
- Set initial charge and recurring service charge for each tier
- All active services are displayed to customers on your booking page
- Create tiers that match your business model and customer needs
3
Set Pricing for Each Service Tier
- Click the edit icon (pencil) on a service tier to configure it
- Set the 'Initial Charge' - the one-time setup or first visit fee
- Set the 'Service Charge' - the recurring charge per service visit
- Configure 'Treatments Per Year' - how many visits are included annually
- Price competitively while accounting for your costs and desired margin
- Click 'Save' after setting pricing for the tier
4
Map to Field Routes Services (Required for Sync)
- While editing a service tier, scroll to the 'PestRoutes Integration' section
- Select your 'PestRoutes Service ID' from the dropdown (loads from your Field Routes account)
- This mapping is REQUIRED to activate a service - bookings won't sync without it
- Optionally enter a 'Contract Template ID' or leave blank to use the default contract
- Make sure each tier maps to the appropriate service level in Field Routes
- If you don't see services in the dropdown, verify your Field Routes credentials in Settings → Integration
5
Activate Services
- Toggle the 'Active' switch to make a service tier available on your booking page
- You cannot activate a service without configuring its PestRoutes Service ID first
- All active services are displayed to customers on your booking page
- Inactive services are hidden from customers but remain configured in your dashboard
- Test your booking page after activating services to verify they display correctly
- Order your services strategically - customers will see them in the order listed
Pro Tips
- • Start by activating just 2-3 service tiers - you can always activate more later
- • Price your entry-level tier to be competitive and attractive for new customers
- • Consider bundling more treatments per year in higher tiers at a discount per treatment
- • Higher-frequency tiers (e.g., 12 treatments/year) work well for subscription-based customers
- • Double-check your PestRoutes Service ID mappings before going live to avoid sync issues
- • If a service shows a warning 'Not configured', you need to set the PestRoutes Service ID
- • Visit your booking page after configuring to see exactly what customers will see
