Accept bookings directly from Google Maps and Search

Google Reserve enables customers to book your pest control services directly from your Google Maps listing. When potential customers search for pest control in their area, they'll see a 'Book' button on your business listing that takes them straight to your booking page. This integration increases visibility and makes it easier for customers to schedule service with just a few taps.

Requirements

  • Verified Google Business Profile (your business must appear on Google Maps)
  • Business name and address in PestBooker must match your Google Maps listing exactly
  • At least one active service tier configured in Dashboard → Services
  • Valid business phone number in your organization settings
  • About 10-15 minutes to complete enrollment

Verify Your Google Business Profile

  • Before enrolling, confirm your business is listed and verified on Google Maps
  • Search for your business on Google Maps and verify it appears with correct information
  • Your business name, address, and phone number should be accurate and up-to-date
  • If your business isn't on Google Maps, create a free listing at business.google.com first
  • Note the exact business name as shown on Google - this must match exactly in PestBooker

Access Google Reserve Settings

  • In PestBooker, go to Dashboard → Settings → Google Reserve
  • You'll see the Google Reserve enrollment page with status indicators
  • Toggle 'Enable Google Reserve' to ON to begin setup
  • The system will guide you through the required configuration steps

Enter Your Business Location

  • Enter your business name exactly as it appears on Google Maps (spelling, punctuation, capitalization)
  • Enter your street address (e.g., '123 Main Street')
  • Enter your city, state (2-letter code like 'AZ'), and ZIP code
  • Optionally enter your Google Place ID for more precise matching (found in Google Business Profile)
  • Double-check all information matches your Google Maps listing exactly

Validate Your Business Information

  • Click 'Validate Address' to verify your information
  • The system checks that your business can be found on Google Maps
  • If validation fails, you'll see specific error messages explaining what needs to be corrected
  • Common issues: business name doesn't match exactly, incorrect ZIP code, or state not in 2-letter format
  • Once validated, you'll see a green checkmark indicating success

Save and Sync

  • After successful validation, click 'Save Settings'
  • Your business will be included in the next daily sync to Google (runs at 4 AM UTC)
  • You can trigger a manual sync by clicking 'Sync Now' if you don't want to wait
  • Monitor the sync status - it should show 'Success' after completion
  • The 'Book' button typically appears on your Google listing within 24-48 hours after successful sync

Test the Integration

  • After the sync completes, search for your business on Google Maps
  • Look for the 'Book' or 'Book online' button on your business listing
  • Click the button to verify it opens your PestBooker booking page
  • Complete a test booking to ensure the full flow works correctly
  • Bookings from Google Reserve will show 'google' as the source in your dashboard

Pro Tips

  • Your business name must match Google Maps exactly - even small differences like 'LLC' vs 'L.L.C.' will cause validation to fail
  • The daily sync runs at 4 AM UTC - use 'Sync Now' for immediate updates after changes
  • Track Google Reserve performance in Dashboard → Analytics to see how many bookings come from Google
  • Ensure your services are priced competitively - customers can easily compare on Google
  • Keep your Google Business Profile updated with current hours, photos, and accurate information
  • Respond to Google reviews promptly - positive reviews increase booking conversions from Google
