Payments Setup

Set up payments so your booking page can take a deposit or first payment

To collect a deposit or first payment at checkout, enter your Field Routes payment credentials in Settings → Integration and save — PestBooker confirms they are valid. This is completely separate from your PestBooker subscription, which is billed separately from customer payments.

Requirements

  • Your Field Routes payment credentials
  • Admin role in PestBooker
1

Get your Field Routes payment credentials

  • Sign in where you manage your Field Routes payments to retrieve your payment credentials.
  • Tip

If you are not sure where to find them, your Field Routes account contact can point you to the right place.

2

Generate your API key

  • Locate your payment API key and copy it.
  • Keep it somewhere safe and treat it like a password.
3

Find your Merchant ID

  • Copy your Merchant ID from the same place.
4

Enter both in PestBooker

  • Go to Dashboard → Settings → Integration and find the payments section.
  • Paste your Field Routes payment credentials and save.
  • PestBooker confirms your credentials are valid — you will see a confirmation when payment is ready to use at checkout.
Settings → Integration → Payment Processing section with the merchant API key and Merchant ID fields

5

Confirm checkout takes payment

  • Run a test booking through your booking page and reach the payment step.
  • Confirm the payment goes through, then refund or void the test charge.
  • Once payment is accepted, the account and first appointment are set up automatically.

Pro Tips

  • Enter your Field Routes payment credentials in Settings → Integration; PestBooker confirms they are valid.
  • Customer payments are handled through Field Routes; your PestBooker subscription is billed separately.
  • A payment failure at checkout is almost always a credential or merchant-status issue — re-check Settings → Integration.
  • Enterprise accounts with multiple Field Routes accounts can optionally set separate payment credentials per office when connecting that office - see "Enterprise & Multi-Office Setup". Leave it blank to fall back to your main credentials.
